Under the direction of the thesis adviser, this project's development started in September 2022 and ran until June 2023. After numerous discussions, the researchers concentrated on developing a plan for the social sector. The province of Cavite, and more specifically, the municipality of Silang, served as the center of the entire process. A complex with a variety of facilities was intended to be built in order to help individuals in vulnerable groups, particularly elderly people, whose numbers are increasing and, as a consequence, so are their needs, according to several studies conducted both domestically and abroad. The number of existing assisted living facilities is also insufficient because the majority of them are private and only a small number of them collaborate with the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

The primary goal of the study was to provide high-quality geriatric care using a biophilic approach and an open-door procedure. This study’s main themes include sociability, security, recreation, and health care. As a result, it is of the utmost importance to establish a geriatric care facility nearby in the province because senior patients' cognitive and psychological needs must also be taken into account. This will also change the way that nursing homes are now set up in the provinces and across the nation, which contributes to the confusion that many residents experience. A more inclusive and interactive design that will make other people and senior citizens realize that these older individuals can still work, pursue their interests, and be happy while living their best life.

To make the complex more environmentally friendly and comfortable for its users, the proponents also adhered to a number of crucial regulations and criteria. Accessibility and mobility, circulation, safety and security, zoning and orientation, characteristics, connection, comfortability, sustainability, weather resilience, and many more factors were some of the design concerns. The use of particular tactics also made the overall design more adaptable and standard-compliant. These were all evaluated and studied, and the project's backers arrived at a conclusion regarding the design strategies employed.
