The proposed thesis project will be the first ideal one-stop shop of both learning and health facility in the Philippines for children with special needs that will be located in Dasmarinas City, Cavite. The main goal of the study is to establish a pwd child-friendly and enabling environment comprising of learning spaces, rehabilitation centers, and accommodations that will meet the standard of having a safe, and positive space for the target users and everyone.
The research methodology was guided by descriptive research design wherein all gathered data will be analyze to produce a theory as a solution for the development of the project. Gathered data were from different government and non-government organizations such as National Council on Disability Affairs, Philippine Institute for the Deaf, Autism Society of the Philippines, Department of Health, Department of Education, Dasmarinas City Hall, QC Kabahagi Center for Children with Disabilities, Philippine Statistics Authority, Philippine Children’s Medical Center, and different foreign studies that is stated on Chapter two of this book.
A lot of possible improvements could be made for this study as time goes by. Regarding the salutogenic architecture and design sensibility approach, related ideas or project proposals are open to debate and discuss this topic in order to develop a better approach which considers mainly the persons with disabilities.
