Planning and Design Guidelines for Hotels

Here is a copy on the planning and design guidelines for hotel facilities. This is a copy of the new set of National Accommodation Standards for hotels. This may be a useful information to those doing their architectural thesis or those doing research on this type of facility.

The new set of standards has a five-year grading system that prescribes minimum and progressive levels of facility and service quality following international standards.

There are five levels of accommodation standards ranging from one to five stars applicable to hotels, resorts and apartment levels. To obtain higher stars, progressively higher and facility quality, facility condition and improved business practices like environmental management, which are determined by a points system should be provided across all areas.
