There had been numerous questions on how to properly fill-up the form of the Diversified Logbook required for the Architecture Licensure Examinations (ALE). Here's my presentation in one of the seminars conducted by the UAP Graduate Auxiliary titled LARO geared to all those taking the board exams. Hope this can help.
If you are taking the board exams for the first time, the Logbook is a major requirement. Re-takers are not required to submit this document again. Re-takers will only have to submit an application form for the exam.
The logbook is the proof of the 2-years diversified experience or its 3,840 hours equivalent providing the details of the training the applicant has undertaken under the guidance of an RLA as mentor. For those working abroad, the logbook can be certified by any Filipino RLA who will vouch for the training undertaken even though the applicant is not under the RLAs supervision.
Mentor-Architect must be a Registered and Licensed Architect (RLA) and may sign and seal DEA Logbooks as a private practitioner or as the duly-authorized representative of a firm employing the prospective LEA Examinee as an apprentice. The Mentor-Architect must possess a current IAPOA Certificate. The form for the Mentor-Architect’s Affidavit must be signed, sealed and notarized (to make the DEA Logbook a public document). The signature of the Dean or Head of the Architectural School is only an optional requirement while credits for apprenticeship hours earned while enrolled or still studying can already be included.
DONTs
DO NOT PAY the Architect-Mentor/ RLA or PAY FOR THE COST OF THE PRC LICENSE RENEWAL OR OF THE IAPOA CERTIFICATE of the Architect-Mentor/ RLA who shall sign and seal the DEA Logbook; if the Examinee is discovered to have paid such an amount (and the Architect-Mentor/ RLA to have accepted money from the Examinee), a criminal and administrative complaint shall be filed by the PRBoA against both; and
DO NOT submit the DEA Logbooks with alterations in entries, as these may NOT be processed by the PRBoA.

ReplyDeletenot anymore. the box for dean or department head is optional.
For example per project / date tapos isang row nadin lahat ng hours per field of practice. Thanks
ReplyDeleteYes, one row total hrs per field of practice.

If totoo po,. ano po yung rules and exemption
ReplyDeletestarted my apprentice last oct 2017, pero hnd nakarenew ung Mentor at that year. Can it still be counted if 2018 lng nakapa-renew and mentor?
ReplyDeleteThanks
Hi. There are some corrections sa affidavit page ng logbook ko. How can it be rectified po? Do I crash out the error then write the right one tapos countersigned by architect? Or pwede po ba gamitan ng correction tape yung error instead na crash out? Thank you. Please reply asap huhu
ReplyDeletePaano pag mag erasures sa logbook? Pwede daw po countersign lang. Tanong lang po, sino mag countersign po? Ako o yong mentor ko.
ReplyDeleteAng alam ko tayo ang magcountersign. But since natanong mo.. napaisip na rin ako kung sino ba talaga haha. Anyone who knows the real answer po? :)
ReplyDeleteHello po. meron po bang minimum time per company/ employer or pwede naman po silang mag sign basta binded by a contract under that company/employer. Say 3 months po ko under that company.
DeleteGood day, same question po.
DeleteGood day architect! Ask ko lng po. Can a newly registered architect sign as mentor sa mag apprentice sknya?
ReplyDeletegood day po, ask ko lang po credited po ba yung apprenticeship, 1 year before graduation? sabi po kasi ok, pero sa iba hindi. ano po ba talaga?
